Control Field Service Engineer – Baker Hughes, Oman

Details:

Manage site activities for LM 2500 and LM 6000 aeroderivative gas turbines, including installation, commissioning, level 1 inspections, start-ups, troubleshooting, and technical reporting. Ensure all work complies with HSE guidelines and contractual requirements. Work closely with project managers and field teams to maintain continuous operations.

Requirements:

  • Two-year Technical Degree preferred.

  • Experience with rotating equipment in the oil & gas industry.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Eligible to work in Oman without sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute service activities on aeroderivative gas turbines.

  • Prepare and supervise field service jobs and interventions.

  • Use company e-tools for documentation, packing lists, BOMs, and drawings.

  • Follow detailed instructions under supervision and assist other crew members.

  • Maintain compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies and procedures.
