Role Details
This is a full-time, on-site position in Sohar for a VFD/VSD Maintenance Specialized Technician. The role includes maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring continuous, efficient plant operations while upholding strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair ABB ACS800 drives (DTC systems, power modules, and control boards)

  • Commission, calibrate, and optimize drives for pelletizing equipment (feeders, conveyors, fans, etc.)

  • Integrate drives with PLC/DCS systems (ABB, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley) via Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, or Ethernet/IP

  • Conduct preventive/predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance reliability

  • Analyze performance data to improve efficiency and identify faults

  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and reliability projects

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration records

  • Support modernization and drive upgrade projects

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures

  • Collaborate with operations, instrumentation, and control teams for seamless performance

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Mechatronics

  • ABB Drive Certification (ACS800 or equivalent) preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with VFD systems in heavy industry (pelletizing, mining, steel, or cement)

  • Proven expertise in ABB drive configuration, diagnostics, and power electronics

  • Strong knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols

  • Experience in PLC/DCS integration and control systems

  • Skilled in using ABB Drive Window, Drive Composer, or equivalent tools

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

الوظيفة دوام كامل في موقع الشركة بمدينة صحار تحت مسمى فني صيانة متخصص في أنظمة VFD/VSD. تشمل المهام صيانة وتشغيل وإصلاح أنظمة التحكم في التردد والسرعة، وتنفيذ أعمال الصيانة الوقائية لضمان استمرارية وكفاءة العمليات التشغيلية وفق معايير السلامة العالمية.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية

  • إجراء عمليات الصيانة والتشخيص والإصلاح لأنظمة ABB ACS800 (أنظمة DTC، وحدات الطاقة، ولوحات التحكم)

  • معايرة وتحسين أداء الأنظمة لمعدات التكوير (المغذيات، السيور، المراوح، وغيرها)

  • دمج أنظمة التحكم مع PLC/DCS (ABB، Siemens، أو Allen-Bradley) عبر شبكات Profibus، Profinet، Modbus، أو Ethernet/IP

  • تنفيذ الصيانة الوقائية والتنبؤية لتقليل التوقفات وتحسين الموثوقية

  • تحليل بيانات الأداء لاكتشاف المشكلات وتحسين كفاءة التشغيل

  • المساهمة في تحليل أسباب الأعطال الجذرية (RCFA) ومبادرات تحسين الموثوقية

المؤهلات المطلوبة

  • دبلوم تقني أو بكالوريوس في الهندسة الكهربائية أو الأتمتة الصناعية أو الميكاترونكس

  • شهادة ABB Drive (ACS800 أو ما يعادلها) ميزة إضافية

  • خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في العمل على أنظمة VFD في بيئات صناعية ثقيلة (التكوير، التعدين، الحديد، أو الأسمنت)
