Oman | Senior Java / Backend Developer – Banking & Digital Transformation

Lead Digital Transformation in Banking!

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java / Backend Developer with deep expertise in microservices, financial applications, and digital banking systems. Join our team to drive innovative solutions in mobile banking, core system integration, and backend optimization for high-traffic environments.

Key Responsibilities & Expertise

  • 10+ years in Information Technology with a focus on banking and digital transformation.

  • 7+ years in microservices/backend development using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot.

  • Design, build, and optimize RESTful & SOAP APIs for mobile integration.

  • Expertise in Oracle SQL / PL-SQL performance tuning and backend optimization.

  • Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka / MQ) and integration with Core Banking, Cards, Middleware, and Digital Channels.

  • Strong knowledge of Digital Spine Layer and financial systems.

  • Experience with application servers: WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx.

  • Deployment and orchestration with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Argo CD).

  • Knowledge of automation, build, deployment, and release processes.

  • Strong understanding of software design, methodologies, and architecture documentation.

  • Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.

  • Familiarity with SIT, UAT, Security, and Backbase platform.

  • End-to-end support for project implementation, testing, and production rollout.
