About the Role
Knowledge Gate International School (KGIS) is seeking a Security and Health & Safety Officer to join our vibrant school community in Oman starting December 2025. You will ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors, while supporting the smooth operation of school transport and emergency protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the general safety of students, staff, and visitors on campus at all times.

  • Monitor school grounds and entrances to enforce security protocols.

  • Conduct security patrols, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

  • Participate in emergency drills and serve on emergency response teams.

  • Supervise all transport and security staff, including drivers and nannies.

  • Oversee transport services, schedules, and vehicle maintenance.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of school environments and security needs.

  • Ability to communicate effectively during emergency situations.

  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Training and relevant experience in school security or a related field.

  • Knowledge of standard security procedures and best practices.

  • Proficient in English and Microsoft Office applications.
