About the Role
Métier - Strategic HR Solutions is seeking a qualified Officer – Medical Pre-Approvals to join our client in the insurance sector. The role involves reviewing and adjudicating medical pre-approval requests, ensuring clinical necessity, policy compliance, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess medical pre-approval requests for clinical necessity.

  • Analyze patient history and medical documents to determine appropriateness of proposed treatments.

  • Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain clarifications and additional documentation.

  • Provide clinical recommendations based on established guidelines and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, company policies, and medical benefit tables.

  • Monitor and analyze pre-approval trends, detecting anomalies.

  • Resolve disputes related to medical pre-approvals using evidence-based approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or Dentistry.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in medical pre-approvals or medical claims.

  • Strong understanding of medical procedures, treatments, and terminology.

  • Skilled in critically evaluating medical documentation to support informed decisions.

  • Excellent bilingual communication skills (verbal and written) for collaboration with healthcare providers and team members.

  • High accuracy in assessing claims and adhering to policies.

  • Ability to manage complex or ambiguous cases using sound clinical judgment.
