Engineering Lead – System Engineering | Motorola Solutions, Oman

Join Motorola Solutions as an Engineering Lead in the System Engineering team, guiding and developing specialized engineers in delivering advanced communications solutions across the international region. Play a key role in balancing customer, business, and people priorities while shaping the future of public safety technology.

Role Summary

• Lead and mentor a team of highly specialized engineers across Europe, Asia, and the MEA
• Forecast functional workload and provision technical capacity and capabilities according to business needs
• Oversee creation and maintenance of technology and solution capabilities aligned with corporate goals
• Manage tracking of staff competencies and project utilization for optimal resource deployment
• Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and ensure successful achievement of goals
• Review and approve technical documents, including equipment lists, acceptance test plans, design packs, and system drawings
• Supervise field and customer issue resolution and support activities
• Collaborate with other engineering managers to standardize growth, development, and training of the team
• Develop leadership and critical talent pool with personalized development plans
• Travel (domestic and international) 10–25%

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in systems engineering, post-sales, or related technical fields
• Strong ability to balance customer, business, and people needs
• Experience in technical resource planning, capability development, and project oversight
• Excellent mentoring, coaching, and performance management skills
• Solid experience with communications system solutions (Control Centres, Wireless Data/Voice, Signalling, Broadband, Public Safety Applications)
• Ability to review and approve technical documentation and ensure compliance with standards
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• English fluency is required; other languages are a plus
