Role Overview

The (Sohar) Field Operator will monitor the operation parameters of the system locally and coordinate with the CCR Operator regarding all activities affecting operations. They are responsible for the safe start-up and shutdown of the plant as per Standard Operating Procedures and for quick response during plant emergencies.

Field Operations Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety rules and regulations and be familiar with fire equipment in the assigned area.

  • Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor/Shift In-Charge and CCR Operator.

  • Be familiar with plant P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions, basic control logics, emergency procedures, and related operational documents.

  • Monitor parameters locally and record periodic readings on log sheets.

  • Summarize activities and events during the shift in the logbook.

  • Inspect the area and auxiliary equipment to ensure parameters remain within limits. Report abnormalities to CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor/Shift In-Charge.

  • Perform equipment changeovers as per schedules and raise work requests for faulty equipment.

  • Coordinate equipment and system isolation and alignment with CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor before and after maintenance.

  • Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the area is cleaned after maintenance.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.

  • Assist in training and familiarization of new operators.

  • Report near misses and implement required risk controls.

Required Attributes

  • Knowledge of relevant plant equipment and field operations.

  • Extensive experience as a local operator in conventional or combined-cycle plants, water desalination plants (RO, MSF, MED), or renewable energy plants such as solar and wind.

  • Awareness of HSE and quality standards.

  • Understanding of plant processes and relevant equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of waste identification, classification and disposal.

  • Knowledge of firefighting equipment.

  • Teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Willingness to embrace innovation.

مسؤوليات التشغيل الميدان



  • الالتزام بقواعد وتعليمات السلامة والتعرف على معدات مكافحة الحرائق في منطقة العمل.


  • اتباع تعليمات مشرف الوردية/القائم بالأعمال ومشغل غرفة التحكم.


  • الإلمام بمخططات المحطة (P&IDs)، وإجراءات التشغيل القياسية، وتعليمات العمل، والمنطق الأساسي للتحكم، وإجراءات الطوارئ، وكافة الوثائق ذات العلاقة.


  • مراقبة جميع المعايير ميدانيًا وتسجيل القراءات الدورية في السجلات.


  • تلخيص جميع الأنشطة والأحداث التي تمت خلال الوردية في سجل التشغيل.


  • تفقد المنطقة والمعدات المساعدة للتأكد من أن جميع المعايير ضمن الحدود المقبولة والإبلاغ عن أي حالات غير طبيعية.


  • تنفيذ تبديل المعدات حسب الجداول المحددة ورفع طلبات الصيانة للأجهزة المتعطلة.


  • التنسيق مع مشغل غرفة التحكم ومشرف الوردية لعزل وتجهيز المعدات والأنظمة قبل وبعد أعمال الصيانة.


  • الحفاظ على النظافة والترتيب في منطقة العمل وضمان تنظيفها بعد انتهاء أعمال الصيانة.


  • الالتزام بإجراءات التشغيل وتعليمات العمل.


  • المساهمة في تدريب المشغلين الجدد وتعريفهم بمهام العمل.


  • الإبلاغ عن شبه الحوادث وتنفيذ إجراءات التحكم بالمخاطر.

  • معرفة جيدة بمعدات المحطة وعمليات التشغيل الميداني.


  • خبرة واسعة كمشغل محلي في محطات: التقليدية، الدورة المركبة، التحلية (RO – MSF – MED)، أو الطاقة المتجددة مثل الشمسية والرياح.


  • الإلمام بمعايير الصحة والسلامة والجودة.


  • فهم عمليات المحطة والمعدات المرتبطة بها.


  • قدرة عالية على الانتباه للتفاصيل.
