Job Description

  • Role Overview

    The CCR Operator for Ibri Power Plant (CCGT) in Oman will monitor and control the operations and parameters of the power and water units through the plant’s control room. The role ensures stable operations to meet production targets in line with ACWA NOMAC’s work instructions, quality guidelines, and HSSE standards.

    Control Room Operations

    • Operate the assigned unit/plant from the control panel as per defined procedures, adjust operating conditions and product flows, and take immediate corrective actions in case of abnormalities or equipment malfunction.

    • Develop a deep understanding of plant layout, processes, advanced operating technologies, equipment, and work procedures across multiple operating assets to perform daily tasks effectively and safely.

    • Maintain continuous radio communication with field operators, update them on operating conditions, and initiate required actions to keep operations within standard parameters.

    • Update control room registers and logs and ensure proper shift handover for smooth communication.

    • Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor/Engineer, monitor system abnormalities, and take quick corrective actions according to SOPs.

    • Perform initial diagnostic checks on malfunctioning equipment, correct issues when possible, or raise work requests for repairs and follow up on rectifications.

    • Coordinate Lock Out & Tag Out (LOTO) procedures during equipment isolation for maintenance and restore equipment operation after clearance, following the Permit to Work (PTW) system.

    • Provide on-the-job training to junior team members to support knowledge transfer and uphold quality standards within the team.

    • تشغيل الوحدات من لوحة التحكم وفق الإجراءات المعتمدة، وضبط ظروف التشغيل وتدفق المنتجات، واتخاذ الإجراءات التصحيحية السريعة عند حدوث أي أعطال أو حالات غير طبيعية.


    • تطوير فهم شامل لمخطط المحطة وعملياتها وأنظمة التكنولوجيا المتقدمة وآليات التشغيل وإجراءات العمل لضمان تنفيذ المهام اليومية وفق معايير الجودة والسلامة.


    • الحفاظ على التواصل المستمر عبر أجهزة الاتصال اللاسلكي مع المشغلين الميدانيين، وتحديثهم بحالة التشغيل وطلب الإجراءات اللازمة لضمان استقرار التشغيل.


    • تحديث سجلات غرفة التحكم وسجلات الوردية، وتنفيذ تسليم واستلام الوردية بشكل دقيق لضمان استمرارية التواصل.


    • اتباع تعليمات مشرف/مهندس الوردية، ومراقبة أي حالات غير طبيعية، واتخاذ الإجراءات السريعة وفق تعليمات التشغيل القياسية.


    • إجراء فحص مبدئي لتحديد أسباب الأعطال وتصحيحها عند القدرة أو رفع بلاغات الصيانة ومتابعة إصلاح الأعطال لضمان كفاءة التشغيل.


    • تنسيق وتنفيذ إجراءات العزل (Lock Out & Tag Out) عند صيانة المعدات، وإعادة المعدات للعمل بعد إلغاء العزل وفق نظام تصاريح العمل (PTW).


    • تقديم التدريب العملي لأعضاء الفريق الجدد لدعم تبادل المعرفة وتحقيق معايير الجودة المطلوبة.
