Role Overview

The IoT Consultant will evaluate the organization’s IoT maturity and readiness, identify high-impact opportunities, and ensure alignment with strategic, operational, and security objectives. You will provide business-focused insights, perform ROI analysis, and support the development of IoT adoption roadmaps across enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct IoT maturity, readiness, and capability assessments using standardized frameworks and scorecards.
• Analyze IoT use cases for feasibility, performance, ROI, and alignment with business priorities.
• Map device, edge, and cloud ecosystems to identify gaps and integration opportunities.
• Evaluate IoT architectures, connectivity protocols (MQTT, LoRaWAN, OPC-UA, Modbus, cellular IoT), and hybrid solutions.
• Assess IoT data workflows, integration, governance, and compliance practices.
• Prepare assessment reports, technology benchmarking studies, and impact analyses.
• Provide recommendations on IoT security, lifecycle management, and interoperability.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams and cross-functional stakeholders to leverage IoT data for analytics and automation.
• Support public-sector and smart infrastructure initiatives with strategic guidance.
• Track global IoT trends and standards to ensure adoption of best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in IoT consulting, technology assessment, or enterprise IoT strategy.
• Proven experience conducting IoT readiness, maturity, and capability assessments.
• Hands-on knowledge of IoT ecosystems, devices, connectivity, and cloud/edge integration.
• Familiarity with IoT security practices, device management, and interoperability standards.
• Experience with platforms like Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or private edge solutions preferred.
• Public-sector or smart infrastructure IoT exposure is a plus.
• Relevant certifications: Microsoft Azure IoT, AWS IoT Core, IoT Security Certification.
• Excellent English skills; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.

• رسم خرائط للأجهزة والحوسبة على الحافة والحوسبة السحابية لتحديد الفجوات وفرص التكامل.
• تقييم هياكل IoT وبروتوكولات الاتصال مثل MQTT وLoRaWAN وOPC-UA وModbus وتقنيات الاتصال الخلوية والحلول الهجينة.
• تقييم تدفقات بيانات IoT، والتكامل، وحوكمة البيانات، والالتزام بالمعايير.
• إعداد تقارير التقييم، ودراسات مقارنة التكنولوجيا، وتحليل التأثير.
• تقديم توصيات حول أمان IoT وإدارة دورة الحياة والتوافقية.
• التعاون مع فرق الذكاء الاصطناعي/التعلم الآلي وأصحاب المصلحة لتحقيق أقصى استفادة من بيانات IoT للتحليلات والأتمتة.
• دعم مبادرات القطاع العام والبنية التحتية الذكية بتوجيهات استراتيجية.
• متابعة أحدث الاتجاهات والمعايير العالمية لضمان تبني أفضل الممارسات.

المؤهلات والخبرة

• درجة البكالوريوس أو الماجستير في هندسة الحاسوب، الإلكترونيات، الاتصالات، أو مجال تقني ذي صلة.
• خبرة لا تقل عن 6 سنوات في استشارات IoT أو تقييم التكنولوجيا أو استراتيجيات المؤسسة في IoT.
• خبرة مثبتة في إجراء تقييمات جاهزية ونضج وإنترنت الأشياء.
• معرفة عملية بنظم IoT، الأجهزة، الاتصال، وتكامل الحوسبة السحابية/الحافة.
• معرفة ممارسات أمان IoT وإدارة الأجهزة ومعايير التوافقية.
• يفضل الخبرة في منصات مثل Azure IoT، AWS IoT، أو حلول الحوسبة على الحافة الخاصة.
