Senior Offshore Operations Engineer – Oman

Take the lead in offshore operations and play a pivotal role in ensuring equipment reliability, production targets, and operational excellence for Oman Offshore Block 8. Join a dynamic team and be part of a mission-driven organization committed to safety, sustainability, and performance.

Role Overview

  • Execute offshore field production operations in alignment with MOGC’s safety, quality, security, and environmental policies.

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure operational efficiency across offshore facilities.

  • Coordinate offshore logistics via crew boats, vessels, or helicopters based on operational requirements.

  • Implement and maintain Business Management Systems for production and maintenance activities.

  • Maintain desired production levels and efficiently manage wellheads and safe operating limits.

  • Oversee breakdowns, asset integrity management systems, pigging, and chemical inhibition dosing.

  • Manage shutdowns, change management, deviations, and communicate process variations to subsurface teams.

  • Prepare, review, and quality-check daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for internal and governmental use.

  • Develop and maintain effective stock and spare parts programs to minimize downtime and operating costs.

  • Manage manpower, negotiate operational contracts, and implement plant modifications to improve operations.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE and security policies, and actively lead safety initiatives.

  • Support field development, brownfield projects, and provide operational guidance as required.

  • Stand-by/on-call duties as needed and may be located at any offshore company location.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in offshore operations or related roles.

  • Strong background in mechanical, E&I engineering, well and offshore operations management.

  • Experience in field development, facilities upgrade, major maintenance, asset integrity, and supply chain management.

  • Knowledge of HAZOP, risk profiles, and offshore production safety.

  • Proficiency in Operations Management, Decision Space, and MS Office; facility design knowledge is an asset.

  • Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is desirable.

  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in multicultural environments.

  • تنفيذ عمليات الإنتاج البحرية وفق سياسات ومعايير السلامة والجودة والأمن والبيئة لشركة MOGC.

  • تنسيق الخدمات اللوجستية البحرية عبر القوارب أو السفن أو الطائرات المروحية حسب الحاجة.

  • تنفيذ وصيانة أنظمة إدارة الأعمال لجميع الأنشطة الإنتاجية والصيانة.

  • الحفاظ على مستويات الإنتاج المطلوبة وإدارة رؤوس الآبار والحدود التشغيلية الآمنة بكفاءة.

  • الإشراف على الأعطال، إدارة سلامة الأصول، عمليات الـ Pigging وجرعات المواد الكيميائية.

  • إدارة عمليات الإغلاق، التغييرات والانحرافات، والتواصل مع فرق subsurface بشأن تغييرات العمليات.

  • إعداد ومراجعة والتأكد من جودة التقارير اليومية والأسبوعية والشهرية للإنتاج للاستخدام الداخلي والحكومي.

  • تطوير وصيانة برامج المخزون وقطع الغيار لتقليل التوقفات وتقليل تكاليف التشغيل.

  • إدارة القوى العاملة، التفاوض على العقود التشغيلية، وتنفيذ تحسينات للمصنع لتحسين العمليات.

  • ضمان الالتزام بسياسات HSE والأمن وقيادة المبادرات المتعلقة بالسلامة.

  • دعم تطوير الحقول والمشاريع البنية التحتية وتقديم التوجيه التشغيلي عند الحاجة.

  • مهام الاستعداد / الخدمة عند الطلب حسب الحاجة، وقد يتم النقل إلى أي موقع بحري للشركة.

المتطلبات الرئيسية

  • درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة الميكانيكية أو مجال ذي صلة.

  • خبرة 6 سنوات أو أكثر في العمليات البحرية أو وظائف مشابهة.

  • خبرة قوية في الهندسة الميكانيكية، E&I، وإدارة العمليات البحرية والآبار.

  • خبرة في تطوير الحقول، تحسين المنشآت، الصيانة الكبرى، إدارة سلامة الأصول، وإدارة سلسلة التوريد.

  • معرفة بـ HAZOP، وتحليل المخاطر، والسلامة في الإنتاج البحري.
