LNG Ventures Manager – Muscat

Drive LNG asset performance and strategic growth in Oman! Lead OQEP’s LNG joint venture operations, optimize asset value, and ensure alignment with business objectives in a dynamic energy sector environment.

Details:

Manage and monitor the performance of OQEP’s LNG Joint Venture assets operated by partner International Oil Companies (IOCs). Provide strategic, technical, and financial oversight to ensure effective governance, optimize value creation, and protect OQEP’s investments. Support decision-making through technical assessments, project evaluations, and work program and budget reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct multi-disciplinary technical and business evaluations of LNG assets.

  • Review project development plans and operator submissions to ensure alignment with OQEP objectives.

  • Oversee Work Program & Budget submissions and expenditures, recommending corrective actions as needed.

  • Represent OQEP in technical and techno-commercial meetings with partners, operators, and government entities.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver performance reports to senior management.

  • Support financial and commercial evaluations, forecasts, and business cases.

  • Promote safe, reliable, and efficient operations while championing continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in engineering, asset management, project management, or related roles within LNG or the energy sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of LNG infrastructure, technology, and market dynamics.

  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and risk management.

  • Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic native desirable.

  • Proven track record in large-scale capital projects and operational asset management is preferred.

Competencies & Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of LNG plant construction, market pricing, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Ability to lead teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

  • إجراء تقييمات تقنية وتجارية متعددة التخصصات لأصول الغاز الطبيعي المسال.

  • مراجعة خطط تطوير المشاريع ومقترحات المشغلين لضمان توافقها مع أهداف OQEP.

  • الإشراف على تقديم برامج العمل والميزانيات والنفقات، وتقديم التوصيات لتصحيح أي انحرافات.

  • تمثيل OQEP في الاجتماعات التقنية والتجارية مع الشركاء والمشغلين والجهات الحكومية.

  • متابعة مؤشرات الأداء الرئيسية (KPIs) وتقديم تقارير الأداء للإدارة العليا.

  • دعم التقييمات المالية والتجارية، التوقعات، ودراسات الجدوى للاستثمارات.

  • تعزيز العمليات الآمنة والفعالة وتشجيع مبادرات التحسين المستمر.

  • درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة أو مجال ذي صلة.

  • خبرة لا تقل عن 8 سنوات في الهندسة، إدارة الأصول، إدارة المشاريع، أو المجالات ذات الصلة ضمن قطاع الغاز الطبيعي المسال أو الطاقة.

  • معرفة متعمقة ببنية الغاز الطبيعي المسال، التكنولوجيا، وديناميكيات السوق.

  • مهارات قيادية وإدارية وشخصية قوية.

  • معرفة بالميزانية والتنبؤ والنمذجة المالية وإدارة المخاطر.

  • إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية كتابة ومحادثة؛ يفضل اللغة العربية كلغة أم.

  • سجل مثبت في مشاريع رأسمالية واسعة النطاق وإدارة الأصول التشغيلية مفضل.
