We are currently seeking an Inspector – Minerals to join our expert team in Oman.

Details

The Inspector – Minerals will perform inspections, sampling, and quality verification of bulk and bagged mineral commodities. This role ensures full compliance with international standards and guarantees accuracy, safety, and consistency during all cargo handling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect vessel holds before loading commodities using approved techniques (e.g., hose tests, ULD).

  • Perform container stuffing/de-stuffing inspections for natural and processed minerals.

  • Conduct sampling of bulk, bagged cargo, and stockpiles for moisture and quality analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, BS, and IS standards for all procedures.

  • Perform Draft Surveys and record accurate cargo quantities.

  • Document and verify the quality of commodities as per client and regulatory standards.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections, samples, and test results.

Commodities Handled

  • Natural Minerals: Chrome Ore, Manganese Ore, Ilmenite Ore, Laterite, Bauxite, Iron Ore, Gypsum, Limestone, Dolomite.

  • Processed Minerals & Metals: Cold DRI, HBI, HCFC, LCFC, Silico Manganese, Granular Sulphur, Granular Urea.

  • Energy Minerals: Met Coke, Pet Coke, Calcined Coke, Coal (including Anthracite), NUT Coke.

  • Non-Ferrous Minerals: Copper Concentrate, Antimony Concentrate.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in minerals inspection, sampling, and testing.

  • In-depth knowledge of international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, IS).

  • Experience in Draft Surveys and container inspections.

  • Familiarity with mineral, metal, and energy commodities.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to ports and operational sites.

  • Physically fit for fieldwork and inspections.

  • Strong communication skills for coordination with clients and internal teams.

يتولى مفتش المعادن مسؤولية التفتيش وأخذ العينات والتحقق من جودة المعادن السائبة والمعبأة، مع ضمان الالتزام بالمعايير الدولية وتحقيق الدقة والسلامة أثناء عمليات التحميل والتفريغ والتخزين.

المسؤوليات الأساسية

  • تفتيش عنابر السفن قبل التحميل باستخدام تقنيات معتمدة مثل اختبارات الخراطيم.

  • تنفيذ عمليات تعبئة وتفريغ الحاويات الخاصة بالمعادن الخام والمعالجة.

  • أخذ عينات من البضائع السائبة والمعبأة والمخزونات لتحليل الجودة والرطوبة.

  • الالتزام بالمعايير الدولية مثل ISO وASTM وBS وIS في جميع الإجراءات.

  • إجراء المسوحات الخاصة بالكميات وتوثيق نتائجها بدقة.

  • توثيق جودة السلع بما يتماشى مع متطلبات العملاء والجهات التنظيمية.

  • الحفاظ على سجلات دقيقة لجميع عمليات الفحص والاختبار.

  • خبرة مثبتة في فحص وأخذ عينات المعادن.
